- What makes you happy?- Music, Animals, Time with Family, etc.

- Read Sometimes I Feel Anxious by Jaclyn Jaycox
- Using a strategy:  
  1. Draw what makes you anxious.  Ex. being left home alone, not finishing class work, etc. 
  2. Imagine your paper is holding all of your anxious feelings
  3. Rip up the page- retake the power of from anxiety!

- Where is the Amygdala? It is a small pea sized part of your brain that directly in the middle of your head (if you were to put your finger from your ear and connect to the other finger going from your nose.. when they meet that is where the Amygdala is).

The Amygdala's job is to protect you and keep you safe.  It is responsible for the Flight, Fight, or Freeze response to something that scares you.  

Sometimes your Amygdala doesn't know if you are in real danger or if you are worried about something.  The sinking feeling or upset tummy is your body telling you that your Amygdala is turned on and is trying to protect you, even if you don't need protecting. 

The best thing to do to calm your Amygdala down is to take 3-5 big deep breathes.

Mar. 1- 4 Big emotions- Joy, Fear, Sadness, Anger
- Fold  a white page into 4 sections.  Label each section.  In each section draw or write things that bring up that emotion.  Ex. What makes us feel angry or frustrated?
